I shall be exhibiting in the third week of a group exhibition called Weeks: Three hosted by Studio 41 Gallery in Glasgow.

I have had a piece included in an exhibition at Mash Gallery in St. Helens. It was an open call exhibition showing self portraits by a number of artists, below is the painting I submitted.

Pietro Fortuna at Tramway

On the 28th August I joined a group from IRONBBRATZ in an exhibition event at Tramway. The artist was Pietro Fortuna and we were invited to take part in a performance for the opening of his exhibition.

Residency Project

I am taking part in an Artists Residency at the Market Gallery in Glasgow. It is called Versus and involves two groups of artists working in a pseudo-competitive situation. We are given a Brief every few days with a budget and a deadline, then we are assessed on what we have achieved. The project has a game show/ reality TV feel to it and no-one is really sure about the true nature of the project or what it will achieve.

The team I am working with is the IRONBBRATZ team.

I have added a new page called “Other Work” which I hope will include images of work that sits outside my normal art practice.

The first picture is there now and is of a painting I was commissioned to make in 2003 by the Beales family.

New images from my “Prostrate figure” series created in 2008 and shown at the “Empty Nest” exhibition.

This series is concerned with issues of interpretation by the viewer when presented with limited and ambiguous information.

New Videos

I just added some videos, they can be found on my “Videos” page (big surprise there).

“16 tucked shirt spin” was a response to a friends tucked in shirt phobia and was in the ‘Mezzanine’ exhibition in 2009.

“Glasgow 2008″ was in the ‘Empty Nest’ exhibition in 2008 and is part of a long term project that is concerned with fame and celebrity.

A few pictures of work completed in 2004 have been added to the gallery.

During 2004 I went to the USA twice and while I was there produced a series of pictures. They were mostly done using spray paint and stencils with a mixture of photocopies, photographs, found material and canvas paper as surfaces.

A large volume of work was produced quite quickly and the methods used and styles produced evolved with experimentation.
